Course Overview
The 18-hole championship-standard golf course is at the heart of a development that stretches across 545 acres of dramatic Rocky Mountain woodlands. The development also comprises 272 home-sites, a clubhouse & spa, swimming pools, tennis courts and other recreational facilities.
I was struck by the vastness of the terrain here on all of my visits to the Wilderness Club and, now that the design is complete, you can really appreciate how our course perfectly complements this awe-inspiring landscape. The sandy site and gently rolling topography, coupled with the dense pine forest that the area borders makes for an interesting mix of woodland and links-style qualities that offers a truly diverse golfing experience. As with any of our projects, this design offers strategic choices that appeals to golfers of all abilities, from the casual weekender to the seasoned professional. With this emphasis on thoughtful golf and a design approach that has been extremely sympathetic to preserving the existing character of these wonderful surroundings, I’m confident that our completed layout at the Wilderness Club will stand comparison with some of the most memorable courses in the country.
