Roco Ki – Faldo Legacy Course
Macao, Dominican Republic

A naturally stunning championship golf course that winds through mangrove and sawgrass before finishing above the Atlantic Ocean

Course Overview

The spectacular Roco Ki resort is Sir Nick Faldo’s first golf course design project in the Caribbean. The six-time Major winner has always been confident that this 18-hole ‘championship standard’ golf course would become recognised as one of the finest and most visually striking courses in the region. Nestling adjacent to one of the island’s most beautiful pristine white sand beaches, the site also borders the area’s extensive tropical mangrove forest and rides along an extraordinary headland that juts out into the crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea.

This site has enormous natural appeal and its location at such a well-appointed resort will surely make it a talking point in the Caribbean for years to come. Players will start and finish on an awe-inspiring cliff-top headland that juts out into the crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea – an incredible piece of land and a golf course designer’s dream. The middle section of the course runs through open sawgrass and also spans a unique mangrove forest, where aerial roots jut out and plant themselves into the floor of the site, so lending a great deal of character. The imaginative routing of the course not only takes full advantage of the site’s contrasting environments but produces some outstanding strategic challenges. I am confident that the course will offer players of every standard an immensely enjoyable and stimulating round of golf.
